So, he asked his wife, Ida, to sew flaps onto an old baseball cap to keep it snug. That clever idea has stood the test of time—100 years later, his cap is still celebrated for its comfort and fit.

Now, Vermont Flannel has joined forces with Stormy Kromer to enhance that legendary comfort with an ultra-soft organic cotton flannel lining. The Waxed Cotton Cap keeps the classic style of the Original, crafted from lightweight, water-resistant 100% waxed cotton duck, making it perfect for year-round wear. When the chill sets in, simply slide down the earband for extra warmth and comfort.

If you purchased a Stormy Kromer cap with a serial number and it wears out due to poor workmanship, faulty material, or production defects, Stormy Kromer will replace it free of charge. The warranty does not cover general wear or damage caused by misuse or extreme wear, improper care, animal damage, and third-party alterations or modifications. General wear is the natural breakdown of materials and fibers over a long period of use. Things like slight fraying, color fading and stains are signs of a well-loved Stormy Kromer with lots of character and is not considered defective.
