Henry's Village Event

Meet Henry, a local 4-year-old Vermonter born with a rare, one-in-a-million genetic neurological condition called AHC.
AHC (alternating hemiplegia of childhood) is life-threatening and neuro-degenerative with currently no cure or established treatment. Henry’s parents are unwilling to accept this reality for their son, so they started their non-profit For Henry AHC whose mission is to fund and develop a treatment for Henry, which will open the doors for others with AHC and related diseases to be treated.
This treatment, called ASO, is being designed for Henry at Boston Children’s Hospital by Dr. Tim Yu and his team, hoping to treat Henry in one year. The cost of this treatment is $3M, and For Henry AHC has raised $1.6M in the past two years. Henry still needs the remaining $1.4M before he can be treated in one year.
Vermont businesses are rallying together to support Henry in many ways to get the treatment he needs, including creating and dressing this cheerful Henry Bear and sponsoring Henry's Village, a fundraising event on August 10 at Snowfarm Vineyard from 6-9 pm. The event includes food and beverages from local Vermont favorites, an auction, a concert from Kat Wright and her band, and more. We are a proud member of Henry’s Village: we have teamed up with Vermont businesses to dress and accessorize Henry Bear, a four foot Vermont Teddy Bear. We encourage you to join us by sharing Henry’s story on social media, attending Henry’s Village celebratory event, and considering a donation to support the development of Henry’s life-saving treatment.
